Risdall Chairman and CEO Joins Gov. Pawlenty and Minnesota Business Leaders on Historic Trip to Israel

NEW BRIGHTON, MINN. – During the holiday season, many Minnesotans stop to reflect on the historical significance of the Middle East – but not many have the opportunity to travel there. In Dec. 2008, however, John Risdall, chairman and CEO of Risdall Marketing Group LLC (RMG), was among 37 Minnesota business and community leader delegates to travel to Israel as part of Gov. Tim Pawlenty’s trade mission to that country.

Risdall, familiar with doing business in Israel on behalf of Magnum Research, Inc., by importing and exporting firearms manufactured in Israel and Minnesota, valued the mission as an opportunity to initiate additional opportunities for Magnum and acquire new clients for RMG.

“Traveling to Israel with Gov. Pawlenty and other business delegates from Minnesota was a thrill. Minnesota is fortunate to have a governor with a big picture of business and world view for Minnesota,” said Risdall. “I had the opportunity to meet with some of the leading think tanks in Israel to discuss the changing economy and visit some of the most amazing and historic sites in the world.”

During the trip, which took place Dec. 11-18, 2008, Risdall was able to connect with several other delegates and has since begun work for Don Mason and Lion Precision, a St. Paul, Minn.-based developer of capacitive, noncontact measurement systems. Risdall will develop print advertising for Lion Precision.
