Rose McKinney, APR
President

Throughout her nearly 20-year career in public relations, Rose has provided exemplary work for a number of leading PR companies to serve the needs of Fortune 500 companies, as well as smaller, local organizations on both the new-business and client-service side.

Prior to partnering with Risdall Marketing Group to form Risdall McKinney Public Relations in 2006, Rose was vice president at Karwoski & Courage Public Relations, an Omnicom affiliate.

Adding to her leadership experience, Rose headed the public relations department at the Foley Group (formerly Foley Sackett). She was responsible for integrating PR with advertising account service, creative, media, traffic, production and accounting on all levels of marketing communications planning, in addition to providing public relations counsel. Rose has also provided freelance public relations counsel for many leading Twin Cities’ agencies, too. She started her career at Miller Meester Public Relations.

Rose also teaches public relations courses at Metropolitan State University in Minneapolis. She has received the Accredited Public Relations (APR) designation from the Universal Accreditation Board in 2002 and is the immediate past president of the Minnesota Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

In 2006, Rose was named one of 25 Women to Watch by the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal. She is a 1987 graduate of Drake University.
